Red Wagon Awards
The Minnesota Alliance With Youth recognizes young people who have demonstrated any or all of the following:
- Increased academic achievement
- Civic engagement & service
- Exemplary leadership
Who can nominate a young person? Anyone! Alliance partners of all types – nonprofit and community-based organizations, businesses, faith communities, government officials, educators, parents or families, and AmeriCorps Promise Fellows – anyone who works with young people!

How do you nominate a young person? It’s easy! Download the one question nomination form and submit it via e-mail to info@mnyouth.net
- You can nominate individual young people or groups of young people.
- Eligibility is limited to school-aged youth.
- We continually accept new nominations throughout the year, however the deadlines for 2008 is April 15.
- We will select students to recognize from all nominations received.
How will winners be selected? A selection committee of Alliance staff, Minnesota’s Youth Advisory Council members, Leadership Team members, key partners, and AmeriCorps Promise Fellows will evaluate each nomination and select honorees.

Congratulations 2007 Red Wagon Award Recipients!
Red Wagon Awards for 2007 were presented at Minnesota's Summit on December 5 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in downtown Minneapolis. The honorary chair of the Minnesota Alliance With Youth and Lt. Governor Carol Molnau, and the Governor of the State of Minnesota Tim Pawlenty passed out the award to the recipients recognized for their academic achievement, exceptional civic engagement and outstanding leadership.
